Sarah trained as a radiotherapy radiographer at the Middlesex Hospital and achieved her DCR(T) qualification in 1986. She has worked in clinical and managerial posts within the NHS and independent sector for over thirty years.

Duncan also trained in radiotherapy at the Middlesex and gained his qualification in 1982. He worked clinically to then have roles in the industry sector of oncology. He went on to establish Duncan Hynd Associates Ltd (DHA) in 1995 and ran this company for 22 years.
